New Delhi, Oct 30 (ANI): The police personnel on Monday forcefully evicted the people protesting against One Rank One Pension (OROP) at Jantar Mantar in the national capital. A number of defence veterans were staging the protest, demanding grant of special pay, OROP and restoration of old pension scheme for lakhs of personnel. OROP which demands pay-pension equity, is a longstanding demand of the Indian Armed Forces and veterans. As per the demand, retired soldiers of the same rank, who have retired after serving for the same length of service, should receive same pension, irrespective of the date and year of retirement.
