Panchayat Bhawan allegedly set ablaze in J&K’s Shopian

Shopian (J&K), Sep 18 (ANI): A Panchayat Bhawan was allegedly set on fire in Jammu and Kashmir’s Shopian on September 17. The cause of the incident is not yet ascertained. Owais Ahmed, Deputy Commissioner, Shopian said, “Panchayat Bhawan in Nazneen Pora was set on fire last night. There is an apprehension that it was deliberately set ablaze. We are investigating the cause of fire. It has not yet been ascertained as to who did it or how it happened.” In the wake of the panchayat elections, the administration is working with full planning. Regarding security, conduction of elections and EVMs, the officials are working with all procedures. The panchayat elections in J&K will start from November 17.
