People burst crackers early morning in Chennai adhering to govt timeslots

Chennai (Tamil Nadu), Nov 06 (ANI): Amidst tight regulations by the state government in Tamil Nadu, people came out timely to burst crackers ahead of Diwali to celebrate the festival nonetheless. Tamil Nadu government has fixed time slot for bursting of firecrackers during Diwali. People are allowed to burst crackers between 6 am and 7 am, and 7 pm and 8 pm during the festival. Taking full advantage of the morning slot, people took to the streets to burst crackers. This move by the state government is to ensure that minimum damage to air quality takes place during the festival time which might have added to the pollution levels.
