Politicians offer prayers on Ganesh Chaturthi

New Delhi/Mumbai, Sep 13 (ANI): Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis along with his wife offered prayers at their residence on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi on Thursday. Fadnavis installed the idol of Lord Ganesha at his residence. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu and his wife Usha also offered prayers at their residence. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari too celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi and offered prayers at his residence. He installed the idol of Lord Ganesha. At the occasion he said, “This is an occasion of reverence and faith for us. Lord Ganesha is the god of knowledge. May Lord Ganesha bless us with knowledge and we may move from the dark path to the path of light.” The Hindu festival is dedicated to the Lord of new beginnings, Ganesha. The celebration is marked with the installation of the deity's idol at home and at elaborate pandals.
