President Kovind, PM Modi condole demise of ad-filmmaker Alyque Padamsee

New Delhi, Nov 17 (ANI): President Ram Nath Kovind expressed grief over the demise of renowned ad-filmmaker Alyque Padamsee who died in Mumbai at the age of 90. He paid his tribute to the ad-guru through social media and wrote, “Sorry to hear of the passing of Alyque Padamsee, creative guru, theatre personality and doyen of our ad industry. My condolences to his family, friends and colleagues #President Kovind.” Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended his sadness for the departed soul. Padamsee is best known for his role as Muhammad Ali Jinnah in 1982 film ‘Gandhi’. He has been regarded as ‘father of modern Indian advertising’ and has been honoured with Padma Shri award in 2000.
