Pulwama attack: High alert on Jammu-Srinagar highway

Udhampur (J&K), Feb 15 (ANI): A day after the ghastly terror attack on Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy killed 40 jawans in Pulwama, security has been beefed up and high alert has been sounded on the Jammu-Srinagar highway. Udhampur’s Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Rajiv Pandey said, “In the wake of yesterday’s incident, we have put our men on high alert and in view of sensitivity of the highway we have increased our vigil on highway and deployed paramilitary forces of the district police and also trying to regularise vehicular movements. Through extra deployment we are also trying to provide security to places where people are protesting.”
