Onboard, Sep 26 (ANI): Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh on Wednesday conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected areas of Punjab. During the survey he said, “A lot of crops have been damaged. I have asked Deputy Commissioner to submit a report in three days telling how much damage has been done to crops, so that we can give the compensation accordingly. I have asked him to give me data of the damaged houses and number of lives lost.” The three-day heavy downpour in parts of Himachal Pradesh, Punjab and Jammu and Kashmir have made Ravi, Beas and Sutlej rivers overflow in Punjab. The water level further increased in Jalandhar after 56,000 cusecs of water was released from Ropar in Sutlej.
