Srinagar (Jammu and Kashmir), Jun 15 (ANI): Rare Quranic manuscripts were put on display at an exhibition in Srinagar. The exhibition was organised by the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture & Languages with support from the Tourism Department. The aim of the exhibition was to make people aware about the Quran and its teachings. Century-old hand-written Quran manuscripts were displayed at the exhibition. Some manuscripts also depicted calligraphy done with golden and saffron ink and unique designs that are difficult to replicate by today’s calligraphic artists. One version of the holy Quran was written in black ink on 4 feet by 4 feet white cloth. Students from schools and colleges also visited the exhibition.
