Recruitment, local terrorists on rise in South Kashmir: Indian Army

Kulgam (J&K), Sep 15 (ANI): Indian Army neutralised five dreaded terrorists in en encounter in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kulgam today. Out of five terrorists, three were from Hizbul Mujahideen outfit while two others were from Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT). After the encounter, Brigadier Sachin Malik said that recruitment and number of local terrorists has been rising. “In South Kashmir, approximate number of terrorists is 200, out of which maybe 15% are foreign terrorists. We’re doing ops to cut down number of active terrorists and reduce recruitment of new terrorists”, said Brigadier Malik while addressing a press conference in Kulgam.
