Residents facing terminal sickness threat due to mismanagement of Delhi’s largest landfill

New Delhi, Aug 01 (ANI): Residents living in the national capital are getting prone to life-threatening ailments like tuberculosis and cancer due to the mismanagement of the city’s largest landfill in the area, complained the locals. Giant heaps of garbage being dumped at the Bhalswa landfill have been continuing for decades now and have also generated a mammoth hill of garbage in the area. The problems worsen in the monsoon season when the water coming from the landfill further spread communicable diseases like swine flu and mosquito inflicted diseases like dengue. On the other hand, respiratory issues are a permanent in the area.
