Rameswaram (Tamil Nadu), Nov 08 (ANI): Sri Lankan Navy on Tuesday arrested four Indian fishermen, along with a boat, for allegedly crossing into their territorial waters. The arrests were made during a routine patrolling when the fishermen were out in the sea for fishing near Neduntheevu Island in the Palk Strait. Tamil Nadu Coastal Mechanised Boats Fishermen Association leader, N.J. Bose, said apart from the four fishermen, 89 others and 119 boats were still in Sri Lankan authorities’ custody. Fishermen from both the countries often breach the un-demarcated International Maritime Boundary Line in search of catch, leading to arrest and detention.
