Student forced to beg on streets after college refuse to give transfer certificate due to pending fees

Coimbatore (Tamil Nadu), Nov 03 (ANI): Ashok Kumar, a final year diploma student studying in a private college in Tamil Nadu’s Coimbatore was begging on the streets to raise funds to pay his fees to take back his transfer certificate from the college. Ashok alleged that the college refused to return the T.C. as his fees was pending. He said he is eligible for free education and the government had already paid Rs. 6,500 as fees to the college but still the college is demanding Rs. 20,000 additional fees. He said that he had already filed a complaint to the collector, but no action was taken, thus losing all hope he decided to settle the fees demanded by the college by begging on the streets. He was detained by the police after he was seen holding a poster describing his condition.
