Students in Mizoram village trek 2-3 km to find internet connectivity for online classes

Mamit (Mizoram) June 19 (ANI): Poor internet connectivity is hampering the online classes of students living in Pukzing Vengthar Village in Mizoram. Seven undergraduate students in a remote village in Siaha district of south Mizoram's appeared for their online semester examinations from a hilltop due to poor internet connectivity. A makeshift hut made of bamboo, tarpaulin, and banana leaves was erected on the summit of the hill which acts as their 'exam center'. Students stay there for over three hours to write their papers and then return home the same way, Pukzing village is located in West Phaileng Tehsil of Mamit district in Mizoram, situated 60 km away from sub-district headquarter and 104 km away from district headquarters Mamit.
