Tamil Nadu CM & Dy CM pay last respects to Karunanidhi at Rajaji Hall

Chennai (TN), Aug 08 (ANI): Tamil Nadu Chief Minister E Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O Panneerselvam reached Rajaji Hall to pay their last respects to DMK chief Karunanidhi. Huge crowd gathered at the Rajaji Hall to see their deceased thalaivar for the last time. DMK chief’s coffin was wrapped in a tricolour. The 94-year-old political leader passed away on August 7 after prolonged illness. He will be accorded with the state funeral later in the day. However, the place of his burial has not yet been confirmed. Soon after Karunanidhi's demise, many political leaders including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress president Rahul Gandhi and chief ministers of various states expressed their deep grief and extended their condolences to the bereaved family.
