Tirupati (AP), Apr 30 (ANI): The Chandrababu Naidu-led Telugu Desam Party (TDP) held a grand public meeting in Tirupati on Monday to protest against the Centre's refusal to grant special category status to Andhra Pradesh. Speaking at the event, CM Naidu said that the TDP joined NDA not for political gain but for the sake of state interests. Special status is the right of Andhra people, not the mercy of central government. He added that they gave notices of no confidence motion but centre did not even discuss on it. The meeting was attended by the huge number of party workers and supports.
