Techie forced to quit job for performing religious practices in office

Pune (Maharashtra), Jun 26 (ANI): A Pune based IT Engineer was asked to quit his job for following religious practices inside the office premises. The engineer stated he was forcefully made to sign the resignation letter. He apologized when he forgot to remove the handkerchief after offering Namaz in office but the manager continued asking him questions on his religious attire (wearing Pathani and Kurta) which he used to wear on Friday to offer namaz. The incident was later raised with head office in Canada and then he was offered an apology by the concern manager as well and the matter was closed there on 31st May but suddenly on June 12 when he was on ramadan fast he was asked to sign the resignation without any further intimation. The company deals in IT and has around 200 employees and the techie was working in its Pune based office.
