Mangaluru (Karnataka), Aug 17 (ANI): A Tehsildar of Belthangady taluk in Dakshina Kannada district of Karnataka became a role model for other officials who usually believe in keeping distance from physical work and cultivate a sense of superiority complex over the common people. Ganapati Shastri carried a rice bag for flood-affected people on his head while crossing a temporary bridge on August 16. Belthangady taluk is reeling under flood in the state of Karnataka. Heavy rain lashed the taluk which had resulted in flood and washed away an old bridge. Later, with the help of locals, a temporary bridge was built there by using wood. This bridge was used to transport provisions and other things needed by 46 families living on the other side of this bridge.
