Top-performing panchayats in COVID vaccination to get separate fund for development works: CM Gehlot

Jaipur (Rajasthan) June 19 (ANI): Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot virtually organized a meeting with an aim to increase awareness and participation in COVID vaccination drive.Addressing the meeting, the Chief Minister stressed that vaccine is an effective way to prevent a coronavirus pandemic. Public representatives, social workers, voluntary organisations, NCC, NSS, scout-guides, sportsmen and self-help groups including people with influence in the society, will have to play social responsibility in the vaccination campaign. Only by giving the protective shield of the vaccine, we will be able to save the people of the state from the next wave of COVID-19. Chief Minister Gehlot said that the State Government will provide separate funds for development works to the Gram Panchayats doing excellent work in the field of COVID vaccination. During the meeting, the CM instructed the officers that a plan should be prepared soon to encourage the Panchayats leading in the vaccination work. The Chief Minister also mentioned that the state government has made full preparations for the vaccination. If adequate supply of vaccines is ensured by the Central Government, then in the next two months the target of vaccinating all the remaining people of the prescribed age group in the state can be achieved.
