New Delhi Feb 13 (ANI): On Wednesday, the Rajya Sabha was adjourned sine die after it passed some Bills including Interim Budget and Finance Bill for 2019-20 without debate. Reacting on the same, Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh Narayan Singh said that if discussions are not held on important issues in the Rajya Sabha then it reflects on the health of the democracy. “Parliament is democracy’s supreme organisation, and we call it a ‘temple of democracy’ and if people gets annoyed by watching the Parliament session then every individual have to think that where this Country is heading to.” Singh added. “The MPs in this session couldn't reach a consensus to discuss issues, it was disappointing,” RS Deputy Chairman added. With adjournment of this last session of Rajya Sabha couple of important bills including Triple Talaq Bill and Citizenship Amendment Bill also lapsed.
