Watch: Election Commission briefs media after Gujarat phase 2 polls

New Delhi, Dec 14 (ANI): The Election Commission of India, on Thursday, said polling during Gujarat assembly elections' second phase, concluded peacefully. Senior Deputy Election Commissioner, Umesh Sinha, said the voting was 'peaceful' barring few minor incidents. He added that 2.23 crore voters cast their ballot in the polling conducted across 14 districts. Conducted across 25,575 polling stations, 93 seats of the central and north Gujarat went to polls, including urban regions of Ahmedabad and Vadodara. A total of 851 candidates were in the fray. 47.40 percent voters' turnout was recorded till 2p.m. The results will be declared on December 18.
