Bilaspur (Chhattisgarh), Dec 04 (ANI): In a shocking incident, a 60-year-old woman claims that the house which she was supposed to get under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) has gone missing. She made the revelation in a police complaint made in the Pendra region of Bilaspur. On one hand, the lady continues to live in a dilapidated mud house, while on the other, government records show that she has been provided with two installments for construction of her house. According to the complaint, the lady named Phuljharia Bai, belonging to Adbhar village in Pendra was enlisted in PMAY for 2018-19. Although she claims she neither had any information about the same nor was she intimated by any officials. The discrepancy came to light during a cross-check conducted by a team, when the lady realised that despite her name being in the list of beneficiaries, she still resides in ‘kutcha’ house. The woman alleged that her house was missing as she has no such infrastructure as stated in records. She also alleged that two employees of Pendra Janpad office in PMAY were involved in irregularities of monetary transactions to another lady who has built a house with money allotted to her.
