Nepal has entered IPL for the first time, hope to strengthen ties through sports: PM Modi

Kathmandu (Nepal), May 12 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Saturday said that Nepal has entered Indian Premier League (IPL) for the first time as Nepalese cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane is a part of IPL.“Nepal has entered IPL now, I’ve been told that a Nepalese boy Sandeep Lamichhane has taken part in IPL for the first time. I hope that in the coming time not only cricket but through other sports our people to people ties will strengthen,” PM Modi said. Sandeep Lamichhane, the leg-spinner scripted history by becoming Nepal's first cricketer to enter the Indian Premier League (IPL). Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended civic felicitation program in Rastriya Sabha Griha in Kathmandu.
