Nepal's Bharatpur Metropolis-19 goes for re-poll

Bharatpur (Nepal), Aug 05 (ANI): Undeterred by the heavy drizzles in Bharatpur, Nepal’s largest Metropolis Ward No. 19 went to re-polls after the Supreme Court’s verdict. A total of 3,897 registered voters cast their votes and the Election Commission had deployed 36 of their officers to the booths. There was a heavy presence of security in the area as well. Bharatpur went to the polls in the first phase of local election on May 15 and the vote counting was underway, when ward no.19 was hit by spree on May 28 as the cadres from Maoist Centre tore 90 ballot papers.
